Setting the Time on Norstar Key Systems

The following schools/programs have the Norstar Key System as your telephone system. Daylight Saving Time (DST) requires that the clocks on your telephone systems be manually adjusted twice a year after the change in DST. Below you will find the instructions on how to change the time on your system.

SETTING THE TIME ON YOUR TELEPHONE SYSTEM
Programming MUST be done from the 10 button set (usually x221) with HANDSET DOWN

Access your telephone system.

  1. Press the FEATURE key
  2. Dial **23646 (the display on the top of the phone will show "password" )
  3. Dial 23646 again (the display on the top of the phone will show "sys speed dial")

Three triangular indicators will now appear in the middle of the telephone's display.
Change the system's hour value.

  1. Press the button next to the bottom right indicator twice (the middle display should now show time and date)
  2. The top display should now show the word CHANGE
  3. Press the button directly under the word CHANGE twice
  4. Enter the hour using the dial pad (example: 9 would be 09)

Now you can change the minutes the same way.

  1. Press the button next to the bottom right indicator again
  2. Press the button under the word CHANGE again
  3. Enter the minutes using the dial pad

Now you can change the time from AM to PM.

  1. If the display shows AM, and you want PM just press the button under the word CHANGE again

Press the RLS button, and the set will return to normal operation.
