4J iPortal

The 4J iPortal is a Course Management System (CMS), also known as a Learning Management System (LMS) or Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). 4J iPortal is a Moodle server, which gives 4J teachers many options for displaying their courses:

  • Set Up Grading Categories (e.g. Participation, Homework, Quizzes, Tests/Exams, Extra Credit, etc.)
  • Create Lessons (Online or Live)
  • Create/Add Assignments
  • Create Quizzes
  • Create Tests
  • Create Extra Credit Assignments
  • Create Individual or Group Projects
  • Create a Database for Data Analysis
  • Create Glossaries
  • Create a Survey to Get Feedback from Your Students on How This Topic/Week Went
  • Create a Checklist of What the Students Should Do During This Topic/Week
  • If you would prefer to not use iPortal for instruction, you can use iPortal to display grades.
